Frequently Asked Questions
Branded environments are physical spaces that are designed to reflect a brand’s identity, ethos, and aesthetic. Working with your existing architecture (or collaborating with your architect and interior design team), Phase 3 uses signage, lighting, colors, graphics, and technology to create an immersive experience for employees, customers, and guests and connect with them on an emotional level.
Phase 3 creates branded environments for clients across a wide range of industries, including retail stores and pop-ups for special events, corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, colleges and universities, and sports and recreational spaces. Our ideation-to-execution approach means we can handle everything from the initial concept to the final install.
Yes. Phase 3 has designed, printed, fabricated, and installed environmental graphics for B2B and B2B clients’ office spaces across the United States. From Fortune 500 companies with multiple locations to family-owned businesses, we’ve seen how environmental branding can transform office space, bringing each company’s ethos, brand identity, mission, vision, and values to life.

Phase 3’s environmental graphics designers are brilliant at bringing brands to life in three-dimensional space. We can translate your corporate brand expression and guidelines into large-scale interior graphics, signage, and installations, weaving in key messaging that reflects your corporate culture.
If your brand guidelines are less developed—or you need help defining your employer brand, our brand strategy and design team can also you build those foundational elements of your brand.
Environmental graphic design (EGD) is about translating your brand identity and culture into three-dimensional space, prioritizing timeless design principles like balance, proportion, and simplicity. Aligning our design with your brand’s core identity and your company or organizational culture, not fleeting design trends, we ensure your environmental graphics stay fresh and relevant over time.
Phase 3 handles print, fabrication, and installation as well as concepting and design, putting the full value of ideation to execution to work for our clients.
Timelines for design and installation vary based on the project scope and complexity of the design, fabrication, and installation. Following a site visit, where we measure and photograph your space, and a brand immersion, where we familiarize ourselves with your brand guidelines and expression, we will typically present a variety of design concepts for you to choose from—including interior mockups, so you can see how the design will look in your space.
Once a design concept is approved, we move into full-scale design and production. Your Phase 3 rep will then accompany the installers to your site to ensure a smooth and efficient installation.
Your project manager will provide a comprehensive timeline at the beginning of the project, so you and your team can plan ahead for each critical milestone.
Yes, our environmental graphics team is accustomed to designing environmental graphics for multiple office, retail, campus, or warehouse locations, creating a consistent and cohesive brand experience for your employees and customers.
Phase 3 is committed to advancing sustainability throughout our organization, including our print production, fabrication, and installation services. Not only do we work to reduce waste through production efficiencies, but we also source a variety of sustainable raw goods and product offerings, from inks to substrates. If sustainability is your priority, please talk to our team about sourcing eco-friendly print and production materials.
There’s a great deal of research, including a study by The Harvard Business Review, that shows the powerful impact of branded environments on employee productivity, well-being, loyalty and satisfaction. In B2C spaces, 74% of consumers say they are more likely to be loyal to a brand with a visually appealing and consistent environment, according to a study by Nielson. According to research by ISG International, 94% of people expressed that the way a company’s physical space is branded can influence their perception of the business.
All of that to say, you may not need to measure the impact of your branded environment, though there are many ways to do so, including surveys, observational studies, employee self-reporting, focus groups, and measuring key metrics like employee retention.
